I too am in love with Stieg Larssons’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and wonder why Sonny Mehta didn’t send me The Girl Who Played With Fire as he did Liz. I have bought enough Dragon Tattoos that he owes me! The Girl Who Played With Fire sounds like a great summer book. I couldn’t put Dragon Tattoo down and kept putting off the end. I’ve enjoyed Everything Ravaged, Everything Burned by Wells Tower. It gives you a good look inside many of the mysteries of men’s souls. Very funny and very sad.
The book I can’t get out of my mind though is The Collector of Worlds by Iliya Troyanov about Sir Richard Francis Burton, an unusual and sometimes wildly amazing, fictional biography. It imagines a lot that nobody really knows in a way that sticks in your mind like glue and somehow seems should have been true.
