Mary Wells on a 'Non-Issue' Between Men and Women

When I met him, my husband was older than me and a huge success and admired and paid well with money he knew what to do with. I was happy under his wing, learning what he taught me. I caught up with him and then for a long time I was the moneymaker. By that time I wasn’t thinking about such issues; I was just trying to keep my business blooming and money in everybody’s pockets. He accepted the situation with intelligence and did what he could to help me. Many women are earning more than their husbands do now. It is becoming a non-issue. I read an article recently in which a man talked about how happy he was staying home with the kids and he wondered why other men didn’t “get it”.
