wOw's Views on the News: Poll Says Majority of Dems Want Clinton as Vice President

Despite her overwhelming win last night in West Virginia (click here to read about it), 55 percent of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents surveyed by Gallup (click here to see more details on the poll results) say it’s time for Sen. Clinton to join Obama’s ticket as candidate for vice president. Should Obama extend the invitation? What are your thoughts? What are your predictions?

Oh no. She and her husband would set up a separate power base and spend the next four years undermining him even if they didn’t mean to. It would make his situation unbearable. He should ask someone to be his v.p. who can bring in a state.
Well, whichever one gets the nomination should courteously offer the VP spot to the other. But I don’t see either of them accepting it. Obama better offer Hillary “something” of value if he wants her to help him beat John McCain in November. And vice versa!
Why doesn’t he offer her a good job, instead? Such as the Supreme Court?
Sure. But not before he hires a food taster.
Sorry. I think it is important to get a lot of the old ways out and a lot of new ways in. He should stick with change.
OMG, Candice!!! ROFLMAO
A zillion times NO to HRC as VP.
“Our answer is to rely on youth—not a time of life but a state of mind, a temper of the will, a quality of imagination, a predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease. The cruelties and obstacles of this swiftly changing planet will not yield to obsolete dogmas and outworn slogans. They cannot be moved by those who cling to a present that is already dying, who prefer the illusion of security to the excitement and danger that come with even the most peaceful progress. It is a revolutionary world we live in; and this generation at home and around the world, has had thrust upon it a greater burden of responsibility than any generation that has ever lived.
“Some believe there is nothing one man or one woman can do against the enormous array of the world’s ills. Yet many of the world’s great movements, of thought and action, have flowed from the work of a single man. A young monk began the Protestant reformation, a young general extended an empire from Macedonia to the borders of the earth, and a young woman reclaimed the territory of France. It was a young Italian explorer who discovered the New World, and the thirty-two-year-old Thomas Jefferson who proclaimed that all men are created equal.
“Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.
“Few are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painfully to change. And I believe that in this generation those with the courage to enter the moral conflict will find themselves with companions in every corner of the globe.”

BARACKING THE NATION AND THE WORLD. Go OBAMA!!
George Clooney? Why didn’t you say so? Alicia Keys… I am so onboard now! Not.
To coin a phrase from GWTW — George Clooney — Alicia Keys ——-
“Personally Miss Starlett —-I don’t give a damn!!!!!
I just saw on the BBC Obama’s dismissive “hold on one second sweetie” remark to a female reporter. SWEETIE?!
Barack Obama called the reporter and apologized if she felt offended. He explained that he uses the word "sweetie"; with people; he was not being sexist. He also promised to grant her an interview the next time he is in Detroit. I’ve said to people, male and female alike, "Sweetheart , I just don’t have time right now." Barack’s "Sweetie" knows no gender.
Of course he did, after she filed her story and mentioned it on the air. It’s called damage control. The old, nip it in the bud. Many Obama supporters are trying to dismiss this as a non issue, but it points to sexism, and believe me, just watch the foreign news… the rest of the world sees it for what it is, they clearly think it is an issue. World leaders don’t wave their arms at news reporters and dismiss them as “sweeties.” Besides being impolite, demeaning and dismissive it was clearly sexist. Puh-lease it is 2008 Barack, the day of little sweeties in steno pools is over. The longer this thing goes on, the more he reveals of himself.

I’m more concerned about the condesending tone of his voice rather than the word used. This incident, coupled with his recent remarks in San Francisco, cause me to question his heart.
Now he’s wearing a flag pin. Whichever way the wind blows, he’ll follow to get the vote. CHANGE? WHAT CHANGE.
